Toothache

Vlad the Vampire had toothache and for a vampire toothache was a problem. Not that he was afraid of the dentist but rather if Mavis his coffin keeper found out she would be mad and an angry Mavis was dam right scary.

Vlad recalled the time he left his old socks at the bottom of the coffin before going out one night. He still had the scars and ear damage.

The maiden was laid out on the bed naked in the moonlight. Nice neck though he had no idea how he was going to pierce the skin with a straw.

The Eighth Vampire

Blade Trinity features Dracula as a being so disgusted with the anicent world he goes into a self induced slumber until the vampires disturb him, something which he is not too pleased about or to quote the film "...boy was he was pissed".

Queen of the Damned features the King and Queen of Vampires drinking so much blood in the ancient world that they lost the will to drink and decended to slumber.

An interesting idea that even immortals can grow tired. The vampire is an interesting metaphor - perhaps we are all vampires in our way.

Vampire

Carriages play their sticks on the cobble stones
play boneless tunes in the brash brick street.

Maidens appear from a hunchback beetle
to stalk the path with a walk like brides in waiting.

Old as oak casks the wearisome watch the ladies charade.
Fangs tucked like reluctant coins behind cushions

the Vampire drinks red wine
refuses the blood.

Sifting A Vampire's Reflection

The line of how critical we are on ourselves is a fine one. This is a revisit of a old theme, which still haunts the back corridors and alleys.

Vampire

The bullets keep on coming
angry silver bees in a stuttering storm.
Still, some say the day will come
when Death has had it’s fun
and the vampire will be undone.

Four For Lunch

The chocolate monster burped loudly, then promptly apologized. Mary was unimpressed. So was the waiter who found himself laid out on the floor three feet from where he had been standing serving the vegetables.

“You had one of your garlic sandwiches before we came out didn’t you?”

Charley the chocolate monster knew he was in trouble. He pouted his lips, blew a seductive kiss across the table, which bounced off Mary’s lips only to smack Charley in the face.

“You had better explain yourself Mr”, said Mary

Charley turned to the shocked Emily to explain her date Dracula’s sudden disappearance.
